Entertainment... I think we're alone now / by Randy Ortiz

Entertainment... is it really to be enjoyed alone now? There are shows that cater to every type of individual, everything from animals rescuing the helpless to live action superheros. You can watch a show about a group of rich wives and their everyday life, or flip it to a videogame (never thought that would happen) show for previews and reviews. The amount of TV shows we have is staggering, and it doesn't seem like it's going to slow down. Good right? Well I think the TV Gods forgot about one thing... family.

It seems like the days where a family can sit together and watch TV are gone. I know it's difficult as it is to get a family to sit down and have dinner together, but if what makes us laugh and cry separates us more from our families somethings got to give. I also think that all these writers feel that we the consumers don't care for these types of sitcoms anymore. Maybe it's just me, but I miss the corny jokes and kooky characters like Stephan. Mike Seaver is in Gods Army and Boner is dead, Andy Keaton went thru rough times and Arnold likes fighting... does it mean family entertainment is doomed too?

I don't think I'm that far off, but if you got something you might want to say... comment away! Also if you have memories you'd like to share, feel free to write them.

P.S. I still can't stand Richie.
