Beatwavin it myself / by Randy Ortiz

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Y9RO5aaYWA&w=500] For a while now I have been wanting to delve into beat making but always didn't do anything about it because I didn't know where to start. I don't want a career in it or anything like that, I just want to try it and see if I can finish a good one at least. If you look on my iPod you will see a good amount of music making/playing apps sitting there and now it's time to put them to use. I recently got Beatwave and it seems pretty cool, just thought I'd share what the producers of this app did in it. It seems pretty cool and barebones when you first look at it, but the more you keep digging the more you find.

Lets see what I can come up with using Beatwave, Tone Pad, NES Synth, DigiDrummer, Korg DS-10, and the good ol 'puter. I won't pigeonhole into a specific genre, just going to do whatever comes out. Although I have always wanted to come together and make an experimental Hip-Hop album... hmm. If any of you beatmakers got any advice or pointers let us know! Will keep you all posted on my little music experiment.
