Orchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou - Se Ba Ho Video / by Randy Ortiz

Part of the Echos Hypnotiques compliation released last year, 'Se Ba Ho' while being a Sato track (vodoun rhythm played during burial ceremonies) invokes a happy feeling when heard. This is also a great cultural difference indication as to where music was in the 70's and what purpose it served. Nothing somber about this track and it's rhythm packed sound maintains alive and well in our time. Thanks to Analog Africa for keeping this sound alive and to Petra Schroder and Dirk Von Manteufel from Sosumi for releasing this footage.
