I just finished reading about the whole US and Cuba Embargo situation on CNN, and why it is still in effect doesn't make total sense to me. It still boils down to certain people of power trying to one up each other on who is bigger and can control more. If anything they (US and Cuba) are hurting each other by keeping the embargo going. I think that at least all the American Car companies that are going down would've benefited some by agreeing to sell some to Cuba. After-all the automobile situation over at Cuba isn't in the greatest condition, since they are still using cars from the 60's decaying because they can't get too many new parts in.
There are many people here that want to go to Cuba legally, even for medical work ( Them having great doctors and all) or even just for the Cigar industry. I would love to get my hands on one of the Bolivars from Cuba, ahh at least the ones from DR are great. I think tourism would jump to God knows what if the embargo is lifted. I can see it now, all the rich blanquitos flooding in for those Cohibas, Partagas, Trinidad, and Bolivars with all that other good jazz. We get what we want and they get what they need, sounds ok to me!
It is good at least both countries are willing to talk about a change, and see what they can come up with. All joking aside, I think this is great for everyone. We both can help each other out some more, and show the world that the U.S. isn't think old geezer set in his old dog ways. Here, here to change, and maybe some cigars!
