There are few things cinematically that can be as awesome as a 70's horror movie and The Flaying (El Bosque de los Sometidos) pays tribute to the look feel and tone of that era owned by Mario Brava and Dario Argento with a dash of American horror. Everything from the plot to the colors and concept presented screams bloody homage to the greats of that time. Kids on a road trip, illegal car races, the woods and an abandoned castle in Argentina while flashes of color splatter the screen and what the hell is that on his FACE?! Where is this going and why are they get getting picked off one by one? Who the hell knows but I'm watching this! It's great to see classic horror cinema given the treatment by the new school of directors and Latino film makers, let's you see that there are certain art forms that will always prevail. The movie was being made by PAF Producciones and ZepFilms, a group of highly talented young individuals in Argentina and will be premiering in Youtube on October 17, 2013.
So I got this brand spankin new and awesome Blu-Ray of a cool little movie called The Avengers and I want to give it away... but to who? I know there are one or two of you out there who haven't purchased or perhaps even seen it, so let's do this the good old fashioned and fair way with a trivia question. The winner will randomly be selected tomorrow, for more details read below!
If the Bifrost was destroyed in the movie Thor, how did Thor get to Earth in The Avengers?
UPDATE: Mark Foster is the WINNAH!
The answer is here:
"Loki says, 'How much dark energy did the All-father have to muster to conjure you here?' Hiddleston recited. "The Bifrost is still down, he can’t just be riding down the rainbow bridge, Heimdall [is gone], it’s all changed since the end of 'Thor' so it’s obviously cost Odin a significant amount to get there," he explained. "I guess he’s been sent down by Odin to go and deal with this crazy cat that is his brother."

[vimeo]http://vimeo.com/27934020[/vimeo]I like that RJ & Technique keep releasing videos for songs for the fun of it, they have teamed up again with Katie Kesling for a grindhouse type 2'fer ("Donuts," "Red Cardboard Boxes") video. I can't help thinking about how much RJ's flow and pacing reminds me of Blu, and that is definitively a compliment just in case you're wondering. The songs are dope and the video effects while slightly repetitive do it's job well... however I do have one gripe about it all. For the effect used and how the songs are, I believe the setting or backdrop to the video could have been a bit more grimy or less ordinary to further compliment the video effects. Regardless great combination of song and the Chicago emcees do their thing as always, keep doing your thing Giants.
